Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are always experimenting with their art supplies. Let's take the crayon as an example. I often see students experiment with the scribble of the crayon, layering two color crayons together, and taking off the wrapper and using the side of the crayon to color. These are just a few ways my students learn how to be creative with the art supply they are given. We are constantly experimenting with, using, and mastering the use of materials during art time. I want to not only continue this amazing creative process but enhance it with the use of new materials.

We are in need of regular crayons, glitter crayons, metallic crayons, small craft items, & incentives so students can learn, experiment, and master key art concepts.

Through this experimentation students will be partaking in the creative process. The creative process not only helps my students create top notch art work but also helps them develop a creative approach to problem solving , patience, and independence.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
