This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I have 168 amazing 6th & 7th graders this year. They come from all kinds of backgrounds and different ethnic groups, but the one thing most of them have in common is their socioeconomic status. Our school has the highest percentage of students from low-income families in the district, and many of our students come from households that struggle to meet even their most basic needs.
Luckily, with lots of support and hard work, caring teachers, staff and community members, and sometimes even a little tough love, our students are given a better chance to succeed.
My Project
Our classroom is in desperate need of an AirPrint capable color printer and ink. Our classroom has been so blessed to have been granted 1:1 iPads for each student. However, my students can not print from their iPads because we don't have an AirPrint capable printer! Please help me give my students this gift.
My students are amazingly inspired and creative, but it becomes difficult to display and share their creations when they are stuck in digital format.
If you could help us receive this vital supply for our classroom, it would change how my students collaborate and learn. Many of my students do not have access to technology at home, so working in my classroom is their only chance to learn how to be college and career ready in our digital age. Having an AirPrint color printer would be an incredible resource for my students now and in the future. THANK YOU!
