My Students

My students are so kind, creative, and enjoy hands on learning. They are excited when it comes to reading, science, and STEM activities. When we learn and grow together, their eyes sparkle and crave more learning. COVID has really impacted the learning of these young students. They are needing to adapt to forces that prevent them from learning. In a world that is ever changing and flexible, students need to be to as well!

My Project

COVID has affected our students in the struggle with letter sounds, word formations, and basic phonological skills needed for reading.

We have discovered that the learning loss in our district is catastrophic!

The students in our small, rural community struggle with letter sounds, word formations, and basic phonological skills needed for reading. The games and headphones included in this project will help students close those learning gaps in phonological awareness in a fun, hands-on way. The flexible lap desks for my project will give students the option to leave their desks, get those wiggles out, and continue working!

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
