Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students come from a low economic and diverse background. With this being against them, they do not let this stand in their way to learn. We come from a small, but might school that is located in the center of a largely low-income neighborhood. My kids are always eager to learn new things every day. As a teacher, I feel that it is not only my job to teach them academically but to also expand their horizon.

I love seeing them come together to solve a problem that is set before them.

Our class motto is we are the best, and we will always do our best!

My Project

The unprecedented times presented by COVID-19 have brought many challenges inside and outside of the classroom. One big challenge is keeping my students safe at all times.

I am teaching face to face and the district has decided for my students to come full time.

I have 17 students that I have to keep my distance from each as much as possible while being in a small classroom.

By using the sneeze guards for my students, I will feel more at ease that we are doing everything we can to be safe from COVID with the limited space we have in the classroom.
