Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school garden is a sanctuary for learning and growth, both for our plants and our students. With your help, we aim to enhance this outdoor space by providing essential tools for plant care and creating a sustainable environment for hands-on learning experiences.
Project Goals:
Plant Watering Globes: The Plant Watering Globes will ensure that our plants receive the right amount of water consistently, promoting healthy growth and reducing water waste. Students will learn about plant hydration needs and the importance of proper watering techniques.
Small Watering Can: The Small Watering Can will empower students to take an active role in caring for the garden. They will learn responsibility, coordination, and the value of nurturing living things through regular watering routines.
Money Box: The Money Box will serve as a tool for teaching financial literacy and responsibility. Students will collect donations for the garden, learn about budgeting, and practice math skills by tracking contributions and expenses for garden supplies.
By supporting this project, you will not only provide essential tools for maintaining our school garden but also cultivate a sense of ownership and responsibility in our students. Your contribution will enable them to actively engage in plant care, financial literacy, and hands-on learning experiences that foster a deeper connection to nature and the environment.
