Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As much as students love their technology, they also love to socialize and be rewarded with outdoor play and time spent with each other away from their phones. I would like to incentivize students with outdoor game time. Playing board games and outdoor games will bring students closer, strengthen their bonds, and motivate kids to talk to each other without the use of their phones. These kind of games increase brain function, help with goal setting and teach students to be patient. Not to mention it gets them outdoors.

Therefore, I would like to acquire a variety of large games (like Checkers, Sorry, Ring Toss, Giant Dominoes and Giant Card Games) for two main reasons: to use them as incentives for a job well done in the classroom and to improve their mental health.

Playing board games is great for reducing stress and makes for healthy competition among friends. Please support our efforts to improve our students' communication and team-building skills. Help fund my classroom. My students will greatly benefit from it.
