Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Preparing strong leaders to positively impact the world! That is the goal of our illustrious school. Students who attend this school must go through an application process and meet high academic standards. Many of our students are English Language Learners taking advanced courses. Our population is predominately Hispanic. Seventy-nine percent of our students come from low SES (socioeconomic statuses).

For many of our students, this school is their ticket to a better life.

The odds are often stacked against these students. They are able to prove that regardless of their background, with hard work and resilience, they will excel.

My Project

This school year, we were able to form Rangels very first ESports team! We are so excited and our in the process of building our team and getting the necessary supplies. The district has been great at giving us many of the essentials, but we are still needing a few more things.

We recently learned that our first major competition will now have to take place virtually and we are in need of some equipment.

Our team was going to rely on the equipment that was going to be provided at the tournament in order to compete. Now that our students will be competing from home, we are in need of some gaming mice and gaming mouse pads.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
