Since getting the materials donated, we have used every single thing and the students continually say it is so cool that we have access to these things. \r\n\r\nCurrently, the small rainbow bins and the large soft bins have both been put to use in the student center. The small rainbow bins are used by the students to collect supplies for their tables during project workdays. This has kept supplies organized and allowed me to give them full access to all of the markers, crayons, pencils, etc. The large bins hold class sets of dictionaries, paper workbooks sorted by class period, and small group sets of novels. Putting them in bins has kept my library area organized and has increased the amount of books being checked out enormously. \r\n\r\nThe snacks donated have been a great treat for my advisory students after completing their state testing this last month and have been enjoyed immensely by my after school clubs as well. I have had so many students say how thankful they are and think it is such a treat!\r\n\r\nI can even report that they were so excited to receive lysol wipes that they have been cleaning the whole classroom! It's amazing to watch my students light up when they see their designs go from an idea on a screen to a real, physical product. They've made everything from custom T-shirts to tote bags, and seeing the pride they feel in their work is something I'll never forget.\r\n\r\nOne student who was really shy at the start has completely come out of her shell. She's always experimenting with new ideas and loves sharing her creations with others. I can already see her thinking about how these skills might fit into her future, and it's been so rewarding to watch her grow.\r\n\r\nThe best part is that this project hasn't just taught them about design and technology and it's given them confidence. They're learning how to troubleshoot, take risks, and believe in their abilities.
