I teach in Title I high school with over 80% of students on free or reduced lunch. Many of our students come from unstable living situations and enjoy school as their escape and their time to be loved and supported! They often come to school already having overcome a variety of situations by before the first block begins, and for that reason and many more, they truly are my inspiration. Regardless of their stories, they love to learn and are enthusiastic about trying new things, especially when they realize that they actually can do it.
My students often fight many obstacles daily in order to have high expectations for themselves.
They want so much to be prepared and ready for their next chapter as they plan what is after high school. They love and look up to their teachers for this and express their desire to try new opportunities often!
Each of my students wants an education to better themselves, even though the method and strategy to achieve that often varies on each student. They love new opportunities, especially opportunities that allow them to realize how much they actually are capable of if they commit to improving and believe in themselves.
My Project
Wilson tennis balls are a requirement by our state for sectional tennis matches. Without these specific balls, we cannot play our tennis matches or participate in the sectional tennis matches later in the year. This donation will allow us to fulfill all the remaining equipment requirements for this upcoming tennis season.
Donors like you have already graciously provided our tennis team with a ball machine and practice tennis balls for the season.
With your help on this donation, we will have almost everything we need for this upcoming tennis season. Please help us with this project to ensure the Jaguars have a successful tennis season.
