Our middle school is in the southeastern area of Pueblo County. Our students are of a wide variety of individuals who enjoy an array of educational opportunities at our school and throughout the community.
We enjoy participating in all the chances that education affords us, be it field trips, contests, community activities, guest speakers, etc.
donorschoose.org has given our students the ability to enhance their education for many years and we want to continue using this resource to better our students' education.
Our middle school is a place where many of our students feel their most comfortable in life. They see is as a place of safety, strength, reward, challenge, and family. Anything we can do and any items or accessories we can receive to better this place of family for our students is a plus in every aspect of education.
My Project
Our students live in Colorado where the weather can be unpredictable. On days when the weather is cold, rainy, snowy, or all of the above, our students have no where to go during lunch recess. Instead of our students playing on their phones, it will be excellent for them to interact with each other.
So many students nowadays play games on their cellular devices instead of interacting with each other; playing board and other games are a way to get the students to know each other.
Games such as chess and checkers allow the students to use higher order thinking, while games like Uno, Jenga, and dominoes allow multiple students to engage with each other at one time.
