My Project

My students will go GaGa for a GaGa Pit! With this Gaga pit, my students will learn about an activity that originated outside the US and is played all over the world! It is also a valuable tool used to teach sportsmanship, perseverance, and integrity- some of the core values focused on in PE here at Pinckney! I have tried creating a Gaga pit from the equipment we already have (lunchroom tables, chairs, and mats) but it either isn't big enough or sturdy enough to use. This inflatable Gaga Pit will be used with all grade levels from 3rd to 5th grade. It is softer and safer than a regular hard-sided Gaga Pit. It can be set up indoors or outdoors and will be available not only for PE classes but also for Field Day, School Carnivals, and other school-wide celebrations. It would be available to classroom teachers to use as an incentive for their classes as well!
