This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are wonderful, hardworking students that show up every day eager to learn and work. My students are still at an age where they are passionate about learning and curious about the world. My students are part of the founding classes at our brand new school. Being a new school, we want to ensure that our students have all of the materials they need to be successful. Our goal is to provide our students with every opportunity to be successful. I believe that students can only succeed if they have the right tools.

My Project

My students need a class set of hockey sticks and hockey balls in order to learn the fundamentals of Hockey. The hockey sticks will allow each student to have their own stick to practice handling, receiving, passing, and slapshots. It will allow my students to be able to play a game as they work on these fundamental skills. My goal as their teacher is to expose them to as many sports as possible in order to give them the opportunity to play these sports as adults. These sticks will also provide my students with more activities for recess.
