My students are wonderful hardworking fifth-graders that live in a low socioeconomic community. Even though they're up against the odds, they show up every day eager to learn and work. My students are still at an age where they are passionate about learning and curious about the world. Being from a poor community, many of my students don't always have the resources and materials they need to be successful in a learning environment. As a teacher, I believe it is imperative that I provide them with every opportunity possible to be successful, get exposed to a plethora of curriculum and worldly experiences, and create a safe and nurturing learning environment to give my students a chance at bettering their lives in the future.

About my class
