Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students' families encompass a diversity of cultural, economic, educational backgrounds, and academic needs. Like all students, they need a caring, creative, and engaging environment that nurtures their imaginations and learning so that students can thrive and be successful in school.

I would like to share more stories that reflect my students' own lives and experiences.

Please help me give my students books with vibrant pictures that celebrate overcoming challenges and rejoices in cultural strengths, contributions, and histories. Through these fictional and nonfictional stories, I hope my students will be able to also imagine and dream big about their future selves as they read about historical and contemporary people of color who are like them and who have and are making impact on our world. These books will not only spark their imaginations and curiosities but also great conversations.
