Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are a unique bunch of individuals from a diverse population. The materials I am requesting are necessary to create a focused environment that will help improve the math literacy skills of our students while they adjust to using our newly adopted curriculum. The various math manipulatives will aid in strengthening fundamental base knowledge as they strive to make a difference in the world by exploring medical science careers in middle school. Our program is the first of its kind.

Our students are working hard to compete with surrounding top-tier schools to improve math proficiency skills and improve overall understanding, critical thinking, and mathematical reasoning.

As we encourage our students to grow in knowledge, we help them determine if a path in Medical Science is one that is right for them and their future.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
