Help me give my students educational manipulatives for concrete learning activities, classroom supplies and needed incentives.

My Project

It's not enough for students to know HOW to add, subtract, multiply or divide. They need to understand WHY each step is important and to see HOW the skills being taught apply to their real world lives.

The manipulatives I requested will provide students will concrete, hands-on learning activities.

The objective extends beyond having students blindly memorize process steps. Instead, the manipulatives will allow students to explore and to question why process steps make sense and why they work.

The other set of items will be used as rewards and incentives. My students are all struggling learners and many are still developing a growth mindset. Until then, external motivators are often needed to get them to persevere.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
