The book bags proved to be an excellent acquisition. They help to keep each student's supplies organized and quickly accessible. Instead of having to gather multiple items from different locations, the bags have streamlined the process and allow each student to grab and return their things in under a minute. Even better, it has eliminated students haggling over individual boards and made each student accountable for the care of assigned materials. In the past, many of the individual letter tiles were frequently misplaced and in some cases, lost. This year, that hasn't been an issue.\r\n We also appreciated the new classroom games. Candy Land, Shutts and Ladders and even the Lego pieces were all fun to play with. These games, along with other incentives like the glow sticks and pencils all help to provide much needed external motivation for many of the students. It provides students with safe opportunities to build gross motor skills, practice balance and coordination, and engage in cooperative play. For many of our learners, movement and physical exploration are essential for regulation and readiness to learn, and this playset offers exactly that in a structured and engaging way.\r\n\r\nThe play tent sensory tunnel has created a calming, cozy space where students can take sensory breaks, decompress, and feel secure. They were so hungry that morning so they were excited to know that we had a lot of snacks to choose from. The next thing that they were excited about was the stress balls. The parents are happy to know that we still teach the standard algorithm, and that the snacks and incentives have been used to encourage students to memorize their multiplication facts as well as the algorithm. We will continue to use the resources that we received to encourage learning in the classroom as well as reward good behavior.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your kindness and generosity toward our classroom.
