Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Trenton, New Jersey, is (and this is amazing!) a sanctuary city. Students from nations all over the world immigrate to Trenton with their families. The city, although economically poor in many areas, is rich in cultures and heritage from all corners of the world. We have a growing population of hispanic immigrants, most speaking their native language Spanish. Many of our students, both native and nonnative to Trenton, struggle to meet basic health and hygiene needs each day. This means that it is extra important for us to make sure they are keeping cool in the classroom during the hotter months of the year.

The items I am requesting will help me supply our students in need with t-shirts to wear during our upcoming fun day - I am requesting a heat press to make custom Tornado Pride shirts.

This heat-press will go a long way in ensuring our students have Trenton Pride t-shirts not only for fun day, but sometimes just because or for kids in need. We are all about items that support their social-emotional learning. I am requesting one large t-shirt heat press for us to create custom shirts. Students will be able to access them over and over again!
