Hunger, stress, anxiety, lack of basic necessities, and other personal circumstances can make it difficult for a teenager to focus on learning. Your support of our Comfort Kits for Teens project has allowed me to provide students with snacks, personal-care items, and comforting resources when they need them most.\r\n\r\nOne of the most meaningful parts of this project has been watching students realize that these items are available without judgment. A student who may have come to class hungry can grab a snack. A student who needs a personal-care item can get one privately and with dignity. A student having a difficult day can find a small reminder that they are supported.\r\n\r\nThese may seem like simple things, but to a teenager, they can make a significant difference.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has helped me create a classroom environment where students feel seen, valued, and cared for—not just as learners, but as young people.
