My Students

Enthusiastic, energetic, empathetic, creative, inclusive, and motivated are a few words that come to mind when thinking about the learners in my class. As an 5th grade SAS teacher, I am given the opportunity to work higher leveled learners, as well as students who need extra support, which keeps me on my toes. I feel incredibly grateful to be able to interact with students who are curious, passionate, and so thoughtful. These students desire to succeed, and I consider it a gift that I am allowed to teach them and provide new pathways to success.

My Project

My students are hard working students, but sometimes lack the motivation they need in order to continue working to their full capacity.

I have noticed that when they have the opportunity to earn tickets that can result in winning a fidget toy from the prize box, they tend to stay more focus and participate more often.

As you can imagine, keeping my prize box up to date and current with what 5th grade students are interested in, can be time and monetarily consuming.

Please help me keep my students motivated to learn and participate in class!
