Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom is the first school experience for most of my students. They enter on the first day not sure what to expect at school, but eager to learn and be a part of a school environment. As a result of having no prior school experience, many of my students begin their school careers already behind academically.

I teach 26 five and six-year-olds in the inner city, with all of my students receiving free lunch.

My students work very hard during the day. They come from many different backgrounds and ethnicities.

My Project

My students have been moving from distance learning to in person learning all year. Every time we do this, the children have to bring their chromebooks and chargers home. This is very difficult for small children to do. This cart will keep everyone's items organized and fully charged.

This cart is the perfect way to keep my students chromebooks in excellent condition.

They will be able to easily access their materials independently when needed. As we move back and forth from home to school we can maintain our chrombooks in good working condition. Our current system is made of cardboard and has not held up well. These carts are made of metal and will last for years to come.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
