The books, games, and visuals you helped provide have made a big difference in how my students explore and understand the natural world around them.\r\n\r\nThe new books have allowed us to dive deeper into important literacy and science skills at the same time. As we read, students are learning how to identify key ideas and details, ask questions about what they read, and connect information across different texts. These texts also help students build vocabulary related to ecosystems, habitats, food chains, and the roles that plants and animals play in maintaining balance in nature. We've been practicing skills like making predictions, identifying cause and effect, and using text features such as diagrams, captions, and labels to gather information.\r\n\r\nReading in our classroom is very interactive. Students read together in small groups, explore books independently, and discuss what they notice and wonder. The visuals and games from this project help reinforce what they read, giving students a chance to sort organisms into ecosystems, build food chains, and see how living things depend on one another. It has turned reading into a hands-on experience where students are actively engaged in learning.\r\n\r\nSeveral students who were previously hesitant readers have been especially excited about these new materials. The colorful visuals and engaging topics have sparked their curiosity, and they love sharing new facts they discover about animals and habitats. One student in particular has been fascinated by learning about food chains and now eagerly explains to classmates how energy moves from plants to animals. Moments like these show how powerful it is when students feel excited about what they're reading.\r\n\r\nYour support has helped create a classroom where curiosity about the natural world and a love of reading can grow together.
