My Project

I am honored to be stepping into a 3rd grade classroom mid-year to be their teacher! My class is a wonderful group of 22 enthusiastic and energetic students. They are so kind, and they love learning! Most of the children get to school early enough to eat a free breakfast. They all get free lunch, but we eat very early in the day. Then, we have a long afternoon of academics. It’s hard to concentrate when you are hungry!

Many of the children experience food insecurity, so they do not have enough to eat when they get home.

It would be extremely beneficial to our academic progress and to their general well-being to have a supply of snacks on hand. Also, the children would not be super hungry when they leave school for the day.

Winters in Montana can be quite cold (-10 F as I write this), so I am also hoping to have spare socks and gloves on hand for those who need them. Anything you can do to help us with our project would be greatly appreciated by myself and the children! Children are half of our population, but they are all of our future!
