My Project

At our school, I try to create a warm and inviting nurse’s office to offer to our kids. While the nurse’s office is known for illness, there are a variety of other reasons I get visitors. A lot of my visits are for basic needs such as a snack or water bottle. We have a diverse student body that encompasses many cultures.

Our school is a Title I school in Olathe, Kansas.

A lot of our families are new immigrants and just trying to get by. Providing a snack for their child is often an additional cost that they are unable to provide. With these snacks I can provide students a source of nutrition that will help them stay in the classroom and learn.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
