My Project

I love how curious and thoughtful my 7th grade AIG students are. They ask big questions, make strong connections, and are always willing to dig deeper into what we are reading. They thrive when they are challenged and given opportunities to think critically, discuss ideas, and support their thinking with evidence. Creating a classroom where they feel engaged and excited about learning is so important to me, and I am always looking for ways to push their thinking even further.

The hardcover copies of Divergent and Prisoner B-3087 will allow me to prepare meaningful notes and questions that guide students toward deeper analysis during reading.

Pencils and markers will give students the tools they need to actively annotate texts, track their thinking, and highlight important moments. The binding materials and cardstock will allow me to create class sets of Flowers for Algernon, one of our favorite short stories, so every student can have their own copy to follow along and engage with. Together, these resources will help create a classroom where reading is active, thoughtful, and truly engaging for every student.
