My Project

My students are some of the most courageous and loving young people I’ve ever met. They carry so much on their shoulders—food insecurity, medical needs, and challenges no child should have to face—and still they show up with smiles, curiosity, and the desire to connect. When hunger gets in the way, it’s heartbreaking to watch them try to learn while their bodies are simply asking for comfort. Snacks and candy give them more than nourishment; they give them dignity, stability, and a moment of peace. With something as small as a snack, my students can settle in, feel safe, and open themselves to learning, communication, and joy. Your support tells them they matter, they are seen, and they deserve to have their needs met every single day.
