From Sketch to Reality: a 3D Printer for Our Class

Help me give my students premium art supplies to explore their creativity, cleaning supplies to keep our makerspace safe and organized, and ELEGOO Mars 5 Resin and color printers to turn their innovative ideas into reality.

My Project

I love watching my students' eyes light up when they realize they can turn their ideas into something real. They are curious, creative problem-solvers who ask "What if?" and "How can we make this better?" every single day. They don't just want to learn about concepts—they want to build them, test them, and improve them. My students are natural makers who deserve the tools to bring their innovative thinking to life.

A 3D printer will transform our classroom into a hands-on innovation lab.

Students will design and prototype solutions to real-world problems, developing critical thinking and engineering skills, visualize abstract concepts in math and science by creating tangible 3D models they can hold and examine, and iterate and improve their designs, learning that failure is part of the creative process.

They will collaborate on projects that combine art, technology, and problem-solving, and build confidence as they see their digital designs become physical objects they created themselves.

This isn't just about printing objects—it's about empowering my students to see themselves as inventors, engineers, and creators who can shape the world around them.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
