From Hatchlings to Hops: Hands-On Learning

My Project

There is something truly special about watching learning come to life. This project will provide the materials needed to support our classroom embryology unit and care for our classroom rabbit, giving students meaningful, hands-on experiences that go far beyond a textbook.

Through our embryology unit, students will observe the development of chicks from incubation through hatching, allowing them to witness life cycles, animal growth, and biological processes in real time.

Incubators and brooder boxes will enhance embryology lessons, Caring for our classroom rabbit reinforces lessons in animal welfare, responsibility, and proper husbandry while helping students build empathy and confidence through daily interactions. The tunnel will help him play. The air purifier will provide a clean learning environment.

Many of my students learn best when they can see, touch, and experience what they're studying. These materials will help create memorable learning opportunities that spark curiosity, encourage questions, and deepen students' understanding of animal science. By bringing living examples into the classroom, students are able to make meaningful connections between science concepts and the real world.
