From Floor to Foundation: Building a Community of Learners

My Project

A classroom rug is an important learning space in the classroom. I am asking for two rugs, one for our library station and one for our math station.

The classroom rug is really the center of a classroom for all types of learners.

Rug time at the classroom library will not only supports learners' academic but social-emotional skills. This rug will be utilized throughout small group reading time.

On the math classroom rug, students will start their day with morning meeting session, as well as use it throughout the day as the students rotate to math stations. This rug will provide a welcoming environment for current and future students. This rug will provide a happy and safe place for all my students.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
