This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help me give my students a way to print the beauty they see in the world. My TK students are full of curiosity and wonder. They’ve been using cameras to explore the buildings and shapes around them, snapping photos of doors, windows, textures, and patterns that catch their eye. It’s incredible to see how they notice things most of us walk right past. They’re learning that architecture is more than buildings; it’s about creativity, culture, and how we shape the spaces we live in.

With a color printer, paper, and ink, my students will be able to turn their digital discoveries into something they can hold, share, and build on.

They’ll create bilingual photo journals, design simple architectural models, and use their printed images to inspire storytelling and collaborative projects. These tools will help them express their ideas, build confidence, and connect their learning to the real world in meaningful ways.

My students are special because they bring their own voices, languages, and perspectives into everything they do. Many are bilingual and come from diverse cultural backgrounds, and this project will help them celebrate who they are while exploring the world around them. It’s not just about printing it’s about empowering them to say, “I made this. I see the world in my own way. And that matters.”
