Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I work with elementary school children in an inner-city school. Our school has limited funds for providing materials and supplies to keep the classroom fun and exciting. The children love to learn and have fun and they are very excited about getting ready for kindergarten.

Our students deserve the best materials to help them learn and grow.

Having strong social skills is the building block for future leaders. These students are the future for writing policy, managing corporations, social workers and governing our country. Let's get them ready.

My Project

My students need to have an organized classroom for the beginning of the school year. We need to have chart paper to make our graphs of our favorite colors, how we get to school and lists of what we know and want to know about our topics. We need to better organize our lap boards and writing center so that the students can get what the need and put it away when they are finished, with ease. We need head phones for everyone so that we can listen to great stories and play literacy and math games on our iPads.
