My Project

Welcome to a classroom where learning never stands still! This year marks my eighth-year teaching second grade, and my classroom is wonderfully unique. My students don't just sit at desks—they pedal! We utilize student bike desks to channel their natural energy into deep focus. This active learning environment keeps their minds sharp, their bodies moving, and their enthusiasm for education incredibly high. My second graders are resilient, enthusiastic, and highly motivated learners who thrive when given the right tools to support their diverse learning styles and unique classroom setup.

To keep our momentum going this year, we are in need of a classroom refresh that targets reading, focus, and joy.

First, we are requesting a collection of fresh, engaging new books. Reading while pedaling is a favorite activity in our room, but our current library needs updating with vibrant, diverse titles that match our students' current reading levels and interests. Second, we need reliable headphones to provide essential testing accommodations. These headphones will ensure that every student can hear instructions clearly, block out background noise, and confidently demonstrate what they know during assessments. Finally, I am requesting a few small organizational and engagement tools. These items will make it easy to keep our unique space tidy and organized, maintaining a fun, stress-free atmosphere even when we are working our hardest. Your generous donation will directly fuel our minds and our pedals!
