My Students

I teach ELAR and Social Studies for 3rd grade. I teach two different classes with varied academic needs. I try to look for items that will help my students be successful in all aspects of their lives. I hope to help them gain the mastery needed for them and to strive for life long learning!

Our elementary school opened in 1926 with a rich heritage of learning and leading young students to be life long learners in the community.

We are a Title 1 school - low economic. The students come to us from a varied backgrounds. The teachers are all dedicated to helping enrich and teach our students.

My Project

The dyslexic students will be using these talking dictionaries, which are state approved for them to use in class and on tests. These dictionaries have earphones that allow them to use them and not disrupt learning. They will also be an instructional aid for them. Words are hard for them and decoding is equally hard. The dictionaries will help them in the classroom setting.

These talking dictionaries will help build successful and confident students.

Along with our therapy in Dyslexia, the students will gain in their learning new and reviewing old words that can give them trouble everyday.
