These instruments are of the highest quality and sound, so the students can experience the best music making possible. When they arrived in my classroom and the class that I had at the time saw the big boxes, they insisted that I open them right then so they could see the \"cool new instruments\" we received. There were oohs and ahhs for sure! \r\n\r\nThese xylophones are an \"instrumental\" (pun intended) addition to my classroom. We can do more melodic reading with them, and I can use them in small groups for composition practice and improvisation. I was moving rooms, so most boxes stayed full and told the kids it would be a surprise for the new music room! \r\n\r\nThey were so excited to see the book nook/center so they can choose any book the want and sit on the cute little bench for reading time. The book bins and bags have organized all of our games and centers for easy student access and teacher sanity! New headphones for technology time are also a lifesaver so students don't have to bring their own from class (and then forget them!) \r\n\r\nMy students will be learning all the elements of music this year, including beat, rhythm, melody, dynamics, tempo, and more! Dance! Play! 2025 Music Education Conference. Musicplay Online is one of the main curriculum sources for my classroom and district, and this conference was full of ideas all from the online curriculum. I have come out of the conference with fresh ways to awaken young voices, stretch little bodies, and focus busy minds, all while still teaching the TEKS and content. \r\n\r\nMy students will greatly benefit from all of the ideas I learned at the conference. I am going to implement a \"Music Around the World\" segment in my lessons, featuring a different country each time, with wonderful videos, songs, dances, and instrument components all from workshop ideas.
