Welcome and thank you for reading my message! I have taught school for 28 years. The last few years I have taught in the building that my parents, sisters, myself, as well my daughters. The last years have brought me students that have extra needs that budgets do not cover. Our Dyslexic students are in need of The Franklin Talking Dictionary. They are allowed to use this to help decode words everyday, tests, and on the STAAR, our Texas State Assessments. I have personally used one that I borrowed from another school. The students are successful with using them in various subjects. Currently I have 7 students in my class that are in need of these. The Franklin dictionaries will be kept in the classroom for future student use. I have a sister with severe dyslexia, and she has used one, and loved it. She is now a Language Speech Pathologist--and extremely successful! Please consider the impact these devices will have!
