This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our SPES Media Center is looking for a special spot for our students to cozy up and read. The media center is a place for kids to get lost in a book. Finding the right book, and encouraging positive reading habits are both crucial to the success of great readers. The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students have a special cozy corner already. The large carpet will be placed in the corner nook with the requested seating surrounding it. The lamp will be a nice edition to add lighting to the relaxing mood.

With these materials and this special reading corner, our students will have a chance to truly get cozy, and get lost in a book.
