My Project

Appreciation for nature is an ongoing theme in our classroom, while climate and the environment are daily topics of discussion.

Students learn about animals from all over the world and are responsible for taking care of their classroom pets and animals on our school farm.

Our classroom houses chinchillas, parakeets, goldfish, a turtle, and a rabbit. We also have quail, ducks, turkeys, chickens, and rabbits on our farm! Students are learning responsibility while understanding the importance of protecting our environment and appreciating the unique needs of different species of animals. These animals also help with the mental wellness of our students while connecting them with nature.

Students also grow produce for animal feed and our cooking labs. They use organic methods and compost vegetable and fruit scraps, eggshells, and other compostable waste. Go Team Green!
