My Project

As our schools population keeps growing so do our class sizes. As our class sizes grow the amount of equipment available to our students become harder to acquire where each student has the opportunity to learn about a certain sport or fitness activity. In a 50 minute class sometimes myself and other physical educators at my school may have up towards 125 students in our gymnasium/ weight room/ or outside fields. While we love the atmosphere and its amazing watching 125 students laughing, playing, interacting with each other all while exercising and off their phones it can be hard to have available equipment for every student.

Many of our students are new to the country a language barrier is often present and by having enough equipment we can demonstrate physically to the students the proper technique and purpose of the activity.

Then if we have a surplus amount they can really focus on that one skill/exercise for the duration of class and have the opportunity to master and love the skill.

By providing us with a few new footballs and flag sets we will be able to create units where every student can practice throwing and catching in a comfortable group size, with equipment that they feel comfortable with. Also the flag sets will help us in many other lesson where we use them to help differentiate teams and goals. Thank you for your consideration and helping our students fall in love with a great game.
