My Students

Our small rural community in southwest Missouri is a snapshot of the simpler times found in rural America past. Hard work, a firm handshake, helpful neighbors, plain talk, old-school values, and pride in a job well done are at the core, even as the population has diminished and the economy has suffered.

My athletes are hard-working, conscientious, goal-oriented, and embrace challenges to obtain success!

I am the strength, speed, and conditioning instructor for grades 7-12 as well as being the head football coach in the Fall over both the high school and junior high programs. I also coach all jumpers in track and field in the Spring.

My Project

These resistance sleds will be used daily in practice to improve the lower body power and strength needed when driving a defender out of the hole, as well as requiring a safer, effective, proper low-body angle. The bonus is that it also improves tackling skills. Safe, proper eyes-up, low-body angle, and explosive power are also required when making a successful football tackle. These sleds will undoubtedly benefit all position players on both sides of the ball and allow them to refine their skills and define their work ethic and attitude through practice and into the games!
