Help me give my students energy to get through their day. Students come to me all week looking for snacks to get them through a long day. I never want to turn them away because I ran out.

My Project

I’m a counselor, and students come to me regularly looking for food to get them through the day. Many don’t have lunch on their schedules because they are behind in credits and need a full schedule. I never turn a student away, but it gets very expensive. I can’t allow a child to be hungry. It negatively impacts their entire day. Have you ever been hungry? It is all you can think about, and it also makes you irritable. Now imagine being a child who needs to get through a day that starts at 7:00 am and ends around 3:00 p.m. without something to eat. I never want to see that happen.
