Students are also engaging in different activities to get to know each other and build community. The students use the fidget toys to manage stress and cope with their day to day tasks at school. They even use their lunch and after school time to use the new items. It's such an amazing thing to see. Now I can give everyone who stops by multiple snacks to get them through the day and evening. Children can't focus on academics when they are hungry. Now the students who need this food know to come to me and get something to eat. \r\n\r\nSome of these students have enormous obstacles in their lives they must navigate. Hunger should not be an added struggle for them. I am overjoyed to be able to help the students. To see them leave my office smiling is a true blessing.
