Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are a charter school in the South Bronx in an underserved community with amazing students! My students face many struggles both in school and out of school. I try my hardest to provide my students with everything they could need to have the most successful school day.

Many of our students have to help bring younger siblings to school before coming to school themselves, causing them to miss eating breakfast.

We share a building with 3 other schools and our students don't get to eat lunch until 1:10 or 1:50.

I like to have snacks in my room for students to stop by and get to hold them over throughout their day, allowing them to focus in their classes.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
