My Students

My classroom is very diverse with students from many different countries and languages.

Although a high majority face many hardships at home, my students come to school looking for a safe place to learn and be cared for.

Many students struggle with basic math, reading, and social/emotional issues, and it is my job to be there for them as a good role model and as a passionate teacher that can engage them and make learning fun! They are wonderfully sweet kiddos, and they deserve the best!

My Project

Reading and listening to reading is one of the best ways to become a better reader! In my class, we use our technology devices to access books on each student's specific level. The time they spend reading allows me to pull small groups for explicit instruction.

Having headphones will allow my students to better focus, and it will keep the noise level down in my classroom as I teach small groups!

Students can listen without disturbing others and without being disturbed! Other items I have included are cardstock to make sight word cards and games for my students. I have also included play dough. Students use play dough as a tactile way to create words and practice phonics patterns. Thank you in advance for considering donating to my students.
