Focus and Create: Tools for Success

Help me give my students a class set of markers and colored pencils so all students have access to art supplies to enhance their creativities. The privacy partitions will help support concentration during independent work or testing times.

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My fourth-grade students in San Jose are eager learners who thrive on creativity and structure. This project will provide privacy desk partitions to support focus and self-regulation, along with markers and colored pencils so every student has access to essential art materials.

Many of my students learn best when distractions are reduced and expectations are clear.

Privacy partitions give students a safe, personal workspace where they can concentrate during independent work and testing. They also help students build independence by learning to self-advocate, choosing when they need a focused environment to do their best. Students will use privacy partitions to minimize distractions, stay engaged, and take ownership of their learning. These boards also support emotional regulation by giving students a calm space when they need it.

At the same time, not all students have consistent access to art supplies. Providing a full class set of markers and colored pencils ensures every student can fully participate in creative and academic tasks. Markers and colored pencils will be used across subjects for drawing, organizing ideas, completing projects, and supporting language development through visual expression.

With these tools, students will be better able to focus, express their ideas, and build confidence. They will develop independence, improve their ability to concentrate, and feel empowered to use strategies that support their learning.

Your support will help create a classroom where every student can focus, create, and succeed. Thank you for investing in my students’ growth.
