My Students

Our third graders are bright, inquisitive, and active children. They are eager to learn, explore, and work together. We need different ways to increase our thinking.

We are a Title I school, with almost 60% of our families on free or reduced-price lunch.

We are a community rich in diversity. Our students are not only American born; but we have children from Kenya, Afghanistan, Philippines, Nigeria, Somalia, Zimbabwe, Cambodia, Thailand, Mexico, Honduras, and Burma...just to name a few countries. We are working hard learning to teach one another what we know, with respect and also becoming responsible productive citizens in our school.

My Project

These materials will make an impact on my students' learning. The active engagement, along with the interactive aspect of Flocabulary, will enhance the various learning styles of my students.

Flocabulary is a standards-aligned program.

It can be used with so many different content areas; science, math, life skills, reading, writing, and social studies. Incorporating music, vocabulary, games, and other activities my students will engage with great enthusiasm. Finding new and interesting ways to instruct students is provided in a well thought out program. Adding this piece of technology will support the creativity of all sixty students in the third grade.
