My students are bright, engaging, young minds. The world has come to my classroom. I have students from Somalia, Ukraine, Burma, Thailand, Mexico, Guatemala,as well as, American born children. The vast diversity these children bring to the classroom is amazing and challenging in the same breath. Our school has over 70% of our students on free/reduced lunch, we have a high turn over rate--with students moving out and sometimes in again. I have children in Special Education and obviously English Language Learners. I have students within the Autistic Spectrum. I have students at a pre-first grade reading level up to students reading at an eighth grade level or higher.
