My Project

Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. When students come into the classroom in the morning, they choose a seat in the room that works for them. This seat could be a stool, rolling chair, regular chair, or a place at the standing table. By allowing my students the choice of where they sit, they are more engaged in their work and less disruptive to their peers.

Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them.

The flexible seating that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices. The floor seats allow students to sit on the ground in a more comfortable way. The wobble cushion will be extremely beneficial for some students who just need to get the wiggles out. These can be used on chairs or on the ground when students are working independently. They are lightweight and can be easily used in many areas of the classroom.

I have seen how choice can positively affect my students' work and demeanor and hope that the additional options will help us grow even more.
