My Students

I teach a group of curious, energetic, third graders. They love to move and wiggle as they are learning, and I am all for that. I believe that students learn better if they are allowed to sit or stand and move as they are learning.

My Project

While teaching last year, students were required to wear masks and socially distance. It is important to me that students feel a sense of community in our classroom and are able to choose a comfortable place to learn.

The seats I have chosen allow students to work in flexible, small groups.

This will allow them to have discussions and start to reengage in meaningful class settings. I want students to know that, although we were forced to stay apart during the COVID pandemic, we can start to come together again as a class community.
