While teaching last year, students were required to wear masks and socially distance. It is important to me that students feel a sense of community in our classroom and are able to choose a comfortable place to learn. The seats I have chosen allow students to work in flexible, small groups. This will allow them to have discussions and start to reengage in meaningful class settings. I want students to know that, although we were forced to stay apart during the COVID pandemic, we can start to come together again as a class community.
