My Students

In our third grade classroom we love to learn, play, serve and have dance parties! We can always be caught doing hands-on projects that allow us to get creative and messy. Our preferred place to learn is outside the walls of the school, when the weather agrees! Beyond core subjects, we also focus on work skills such as punctuality, penmanship, and a good handshake.

My kiddos from rural Wyoming are the true definition of hard-workers!

They aim to please and always put their best foot forward. They come to school daily ready to face new challenges, develop a variety of skills and love those around them, despite what challenges they may be facing at home. They truly inspire me daily to live life to the fullest.

My Project

I was shocked the first time a borrowed a balance ball from my teaching partner. My typically wiggly, unfocused kiddos were sitting quietly and ready to concentrate on their learning!

These balls are a great way for those active students to be able to direct their extra energy to a movement task without disrupting their neighbors.

Having the option of sitting in something other than a regular chair not only helps students focus, but provides good core exercise as well. Whenever I bring a new seating option into the classroom (even if its only repurposed old crates) my students faces light up! A set of balance balls for our classroom will be an exciting addition to both students and teacher alike!
